Happy Faces :)

Hey there everyone! As you all know, recently a senior singing competition was organized in Secita Hall. The good news is that we got a good response but we had too much food but that was okay we took care of it :D Our contestants started arriving at 6pm and we had our judges ready to..JUDGE! It was a really competitive as ALL of the contestants could sing amazingly! And of course our very own leo members performed too! We sang a few songs and we had our part of fun! But the best part was seeing happy senior citizens clapping along and laughing! It was truly an awesome experience :) Kudos to our organizing chairman, our club's community service director Leo James Chong Sheng Han! He did a wonderful job with organising this event :) and here are some...pictures! :D

All in all it was a great day! It was really an undescribable feeling to see smiles plastered on many people's faces. We hope to organize something unusual and not cliche like this again! We would like to express our gratitude to those who supported our event and made time to help us in organizing :)

Time For Some Crazy Singing!

Hey there everyone! The Leo Club of SMK Damansara Utama will be hosting a karoeke competition for senior citizens! So whoever is reading this post..please spread it out! =D It's gonna be a fun filled singing day as we watch our folks battle it out till to the finish ;) here are the details as follows:

Place: Bangunan Secita, Kelana Jaya
Registration Fee: RM10.00

Lantern Festival! :D

On the 18th September 2010, Leos from SMKDU did a lantern festival project with the Lions of Taman Tun at Tadika Diyana. WE HAD FUN! :D

History of this project:

Pesta Tanglung is one of the Signature Projects of Lions Club of KL Taman Tun (LCTT). It is jointly organized by LCTT, Tadika Diyana, Taman Tun Dr.Islamil Residents Association (TTDI-RA), Leo Club of SMKDU (ALPHA) and Leo Club of KDU (OMEGA) and is held annually at Tadika Diyana, TTDI.

Its was attended by Guest of honour, YB Mr.Lim Lip Eng, Zone Chairman Ln Javern Lim and family, 12 Lions members & family, 7 Omega Leos, 12 Alpha Leos, 20 children from Mega Home, Petaling Jaya, 70 children accompanied by parents and grandparents, 14 residents from TTDI-RA (Senior Citizens).

Leos are in charged in several jobs. While working, we enjoyed ourselves! 

 Leos always smile to everyone!

he indeed did a great job cooperating with the Lions and did his part to make this event succesful yet fun :D

 Leo Lee Xue Er was brave enough to help the clown to tie ballooons up! as some of us are AFRAID that the clown might eat us UP. O:

 Leos helped in the registrations session and proud to have an amount of 70 childrens to register their names! :D

 There were children who really made an effort to wear costumes to the festival! most likely the parents wore that for them. haha. This little cute angel melted my heart.

 Introducing our faculty advisor, Ms Liang Cha Lee! She came to look out of us and she was SO LUCKY to win 4 lucky draws on that day! :D

The programme for the night consisted of:

1. Lantern Procession around the block

2. Magic Show and Balloon-Making

3. Games designed by the Leos - Musical Chairs, Ping pong game!

4. Lucky Draws

5. Face Painting and MOONCAKES feasts

 Lion Chu Tham Sang, our Preseident of LCTT gave prize to the winner of the musical chair!

 We Leos also played  in the pingpong game with the children from MEGA HOMES. and Nasri and i won! haha. See i remembered her name!
