Joint Installation 2013!

the official Board of Directors 2013/2014!

So on the 15th on August 2013, the 13th Kuala Lumpur Leo Clubs Joint Installation of District 308-B1 was held at Help CAT, Fraser Business Park. We along with 8 other Leo Clubs which included : Leo Club of SMK Jinjang, Leo Club of SMK USJ 13, Leo Club of SMK Kepong Baru, Leo Club of SMK Cochrane, Leo Club of SMK Datok Lokman, Leo Club of SMK Bukit Maluri, Leo Club of SMK Bukit Jalil, Leo Club of SMK Sultan Abdul Samad and us, Leo Club of SMKDU of course. Before I begin,  I have to say kudos to the organizing committee! You guys did an amazing job organizing the event, we all had a great time! :) Our very own Leo Richelle Tan was the Vice Organizing Chairperson, Leo Bei Er was the treasurer and Leo Eshwarya was the emcee of this event. During this event, the form 3's and new members of the Leo Club were installed as official members. The board of directors of the fiscal year 2013/2014 also installed. Later, there were some amazing performances by so many different performers for different schools ( Btw, Leo Richelle did an amazing singing performance! ). Afterwards there was lunch and a photography session. We all had a great time at this event so here are some pictures :

Visit to Taman Megah Handicapped and Disabled Children's Home

On the 4th of August 2013, we paid the Taman Megah Handicapped and Disabled Children's Home a visit. The project OC was Leo Richelle Tan. Throughout the visit, we talked to the lovely children there, sang songs, served them food, did face painting and donated some money and grocery supplies too. It was a great day, and definitely an eyeopening experience for the leo's who were visiting a children's home for the first time.

Quick update!

Hello everyone! :) 

Sorry for the delay but I promise there's a lot to come. Considering the 2 week school break has started, I will start catching up and posting about the activities we've had.

Last but not least, the Leo Club of SMKDU would like to wish our fellow Muslims, Selamat Hari Raya and to everyone, Happy Holidays! :)

Our school wall painting project

On the July 1,2 and 3rd, we decided to give back to our dear school so we had a wall painting project. This project was lead by the OC, Leo Tan Khee En. We also got loads of help from our Leo adviser Lion Chu, Faculty adviser Cik Liang, some Leo members and non-Leo's too! Everyone got down and dirty to paint the walls and the project managed to be finished in quite a short amount of time.

Thanks to everyone's help, the wall is DONE! We are also planning to have a mural painted on it by all the students. Hopefully that project will be carried soon (after exams please :p).

SMKDU LEO'S Annual Charity Dinner 2013

On the 29th of June 2013, the 3rd Charity Annual Dinner and 22nd Anniversary Celebration was held at Global Business Park, Petaling Jaya. The theme for the dinner this year was a mix of Saturday Night Fever and Sadie Hawkins (incase you didn't know, Sadie Hawkins means instead of the traditional guys asking girls to be their date, it's girl's ask guys). The project OC, Leo Zhi Xin, was assisted by a small committee to make the magic happen!

Yeap, that pretty much concludes the night. We raised a total of RM4000. The money was donated to Taman Megah Handicapped and Disabled Children's Home. We would like to thank everyone for coming, we hope you had a blast! Till next year! :)

General meeting as usual, it starts around 2.30 p.m

Everyone who applied for a post was really nervous and scared at the same time. Soon after arranging about   17 chairs in front, all the BOD's sat and the announcing of the up coming BOD's begin. It started with creative director.Congratulation to both Aiman and Shahshilan! :D After creative director, it was Editor and we are sorry that we lied that we canceled the post due to two membership director but then yeah we surprised Davern at the end cause it was his birthday! haha 

& I announced the up coming IT director which is Yashwini! :D Make sure to keep this blog alive and everything :) And so its membership director and so on..

Lastly, our President! Jazlynn Wong !

After announcing all the post for the board of 2013/2014, all of them are asked to come up and tell us how they feel and also everyone of them have cat walk !

Meeting continued with the discussion of the theme of Leo Dinner and the most vote is Saturday Night Fever and also Sadie Hawkins! So we decided to combine it together and make it more interesting! Since every year, only the guys ask the girls so this year it should be different. Girls asking Guys to Leo Dinner! :)

The date is not confirm yet but any further info i'll update here :) The meeting ended with teaching of Leo pledge and also our SMKDU Leo Roll! :D

5th General Meeting

5th general meeting was on the 19th of March, as usual it starts around 2.30pm :)

Game organised by the BODs called 3 legged obstacle course race. There was 4 station where every pair must go through.

Firstly everyone is asked to pair them self up with one of their friends and then we will pass them each a string and they will tie each of their legs together. So it is called 3 legged race :D

There was blind folded game, string game, walking with the ball back to back and also paper basketball game! :)

After about 40-50 minutes, everyone finished all 4 station everyone gathered back at class and talked about our up coming Leo Dinner event.

Happy Holidays!

 Hi there, here to update for the meeting again :)

Treasure Hunt was held on the Tuesday, 5th of February. Everything went well except for the little messed up clues. Meeting was at usual 2.30 p.m. Firstly some of the BOD's went to their own station to prepare their own stuff and then we explained about the treasure hunt game to the Leos. After that, everyone is separated to their own groups and the game begins! 

Here are the few games we played, the blending drink, finding 10 sen coins, hangman, card tower, what's in the bag, making the BOD's laugh and more :)

Well, sorry that we dint have any picture for the meeting cause everyone was busy with their own station but overall i hope you guys had fun ! :) Sorry if there is some disgusting game u guys have to go through. haha
